Multiscale Simulations - The modelling of material involving multiple scales

Event Date:
Friday, 31 January, 2014 - 09:30 to 16:30

Multiscale simulations is a trans-regional workshop that will be held at Saarland University. For the modelling of materials, different levels of scale play an important role. Looking at these different levels and their relation to each other is a major research topic and multi-level simulations help lead to new knowledge.
Speakers from Germany, France, England, Luxembourg and Belgium will illuminate all aspects of the topic in the English-speaking lectures as part of the joint project of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR) and the funds raised on the Research Campus Saar Interreg IV A project intermatGR. The workshop is accompanied by Eurice, which provides advice on current funding of the EU's Horizon 2020 program.
